Australian Silky Terrier
Someone who doesn't mistake the silky coat for softness, underneath it I'm still a ratting terrier with real instincts. I want real walks and real digging, not just brushing sessions. The glamour is doing some heavy misdirection.
My coat is genuinely silky, genuinely gorgeous, and genuinely at odds with my personality. I chase things with intent, I dig with purpose, and I bark at anything that moves suspiciously. The fancy hair is a costume over a working dog.
My skin gets itchy and allergy prone, so keep an eye on scratching and any flare ups. My coat needs proper brushing several times a week or the silk becomes a tangled situation fast. The glamorous look takes real upkeep behind the scenes.
You don't assume the silky coat means a delicate temperament, because it really doesn't. You keep up with the brushing so the coat stays gorgeous instead of matted. And you let me dig and chase things without treating it as bad behaviour.
I was bred for ratting in the Australian outback despite looking like I belong on a grooming table. Both things are true simultaneously. I contain multitudes and also several terrier instincts.
Swipe right. I'm glamorous, scrappy, and full of outback attitude in a very silky package.
