Very good family trip to the pet friendly teochew porridge buffet. Very warm and friendly service by the staff for all human, kids and our furbabies. Staff offered whipped cream to the pups as well! There were some other patrons that did not put their dog(s) in diapers nor strollers and the dog(s) went around marking and peeing on the sofa seat and carpet. Do hope that the restaurant and hotel cM be more strict on this and enforce that the pups must be diapered or kept off the floor/chairs if not diapered, for hygiene purposes as the restaurant is an f&b establishment afterall, with young kids and older people around.

Brought my family out for a warm dinner tonight, beautifully served by Joel at Holiday Inn Novena. The Teochew dishes were absolutely delicious, simple, authentic, and full of flavour. What made the evening even better was the thoughtful service and the joy of sharing a good meal together with family. Good food, great service, and precious family time. Moments like these are always the best!
This is a great hotel with comfortable rooms, which are also a reasonable size for Singapore, where rooms tend to be smaller. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are also nicely designed and decorated. Breakfast is very good, with a good choice of Asian and Western food. But it is the staff who are the standouts of this hotel. They are just fantastic, so pleasant, polite and welcoming also so very helpful. On our last morning we needed to take a taxi to the airport. We had not arranged one yet and were getting outrageous prices from various ride apps. They went out of their way to sort a taxi for us at the last minute, and for a much cheaper price. This is just one example of how customer service focused they ALL are. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
I had a really great experience at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Novena recently especially after a few unpleasant stays at other hotels. I arrived before 1pm, which was still quite early for check-in so my room wasn’t ready yet. Totally understandable. But Jonathan Carr at the front desk was incredibly friendly and professional. Within just few minutes, he managed to arrange an early check-in for my husband and I at no extra charge. This kind of small gesture made a big difference. He also took the time to walk me through the hotel’s restaurants and facilities (gym and swimming pool opening hour) in detail, which I really appreciated (even I don’t really use the facilities). You can tell he genuinely cares about guest experience. I travel to Singapore at least once a month and have stayed at many 4 to 5 star hotels there. Honestly, in terms of hospitality, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Novena stands out as one of the best. Will definitely be back again.
