Plan a visit with your pack

Zorba The Greek Taverna describes itself as pet-friendly and offers a riverside Greek dining spot. That supports considering it for a shared outing, with the exact seating area and individual handling conditions still to be arranged. Before booking, ask exactly where the pet table is, whether it is covered in wet weather and what leash or carrier arrangements apply. A pet-friendly label alone does not establish water bowls, a pet menu, unrestricted indoor access or a verified welfare standard.

We visited Zorba the Greek Taverna during the afternoon hours between 3-5pm, and overall had a pleasant and relaxing experience. The food was generally good, priced reasonably for the location, and the views overlooking the river were absolutely stunning, a perfect backdrop for a slow afternoon meal. The ambience and furnishings were well thought out, fitting the Greek aesthetic beautifully. It was quiet and peaceful, ideal for unwinding. The restaurant is also dog-friendly, which we appreciated. While pets are required to stay on the floor, it would be nice if they could offer a small cushion or designated seating for them. That said, they did kindly offer iced water for our dog, which was a lovely touch. Service was mostly positive. The male staff on shift were all very attentive, active, and polite, which made us feel well taken care of. A male manager (or someone who seemed to be) even came over to chat, play with our pet, and share a few jokes, his warmth and friendliness really stood out. However, one female staff member did show a bit of attitude, notably letting out a loud sigh at our table in response to our multiple requests. It was disappointing, especially since we were one of only two tables dining during that time. We also overheard the other table sending food back, which raised some concern about consistency during the afternoon service. That said, despite her initial reaction, the lady staff did attend to all our queries and requests, so credit is due for following through. Overall, Zorba offers a pleasant riverside dining experience with good food, a beautiful setting, and mostly attentive service. While there’s room for improvement for a certain staff, I’ve been here a few times and would still recommend and return.

We were there on a Sat afternoon (18 Oct) for dinner at 5.30pm. The welcoming staff were super friendly even to our dog and attentive to our needs, ensuring that we are comfortable before we ordered. Served our dog water with ice. Truly an exemplary service, sorry we didn't get the name of the short gentleman who welcomed us but thank you dude. All the staff are great. The food is nice too including the dessert. Thank you lady for the recommendation. Staff also recommended 6.30pm as a better timing and we've taken note of that for next visits. Great experience, great food, great ambience. Pet-friendly and staff love pets too.

I went there with friends on a Thursday night. We just finished the river cruise and so it was very convenient to choose. The r the restaurant was situated right next to the river and would be a very romantic place to come have dinner. The selections were sufficient, but the prices was quite expensive given the location. The food took a while to come out even though there were not too many people so expect delays if you are in a hurry. However, the point is to sit and relax and chat so the wait was fine, unless you are hungry. the service was ok. Not bad, not exceptional, thus the 4 stars. So if you are in to Greek food, with a nice view, it’s not a bad place to be.

Amazing food. Delicious and flavourful. Ordered the lamb kebab, mixed bbq, dips platter, and seafood stew. Everything was great, except the beef, which would have been perfect if it was cooked slightly shorter. The fries/chips were amazing. Superb ambience, and great service.

We had our lunch at this restaurant, food was expensive but expected from a restaurant located in this area. The food quality fell short, the fish tasted overly salted and the potatoes as the side dish were soft and damp. We ordered the mixed grill platter as well, the taste of the different meats was average at best and the only part of the dish that stood out were the fried chips and dip (The fried chips and dip were decent). The ambience, though not at the fault of the restaurant, it was true Singapore experience of a scorching hot afternoon. The staff were hospitable to a certain extent but that could also be at the mercy of the unbearable heat. A friend commented that the experience might have been better if we had made our reservation for dinner instead, as the weather would be much cooler and bearable. Unfortunately, this would not change the quality of the food. Overall for the price and quality, I would prefer to spend it elsewhere in an air-conditioned establishment and for better food.
