Coney Island offers a rustic walk rather than an enclosed dog-play space. NParks lists opening hours of 7am to 7pm, with entrances at the Punggol and Lorong Halus ends and no carpark on the island. The surface can be rough, so choose a distance that leaves enough energy for the return. The most important dog-specific warning is about territorial stray dogs: give them space and turn back if needed. Stay on designated trails, avoid wildlife and do not enter the Haw Par Beach Villa. Bring your own supplies and plan the exit before closing. Shade, quietness and an easy encounter with wildlife cannot be guaranteed by an attractive photograph.

came to Coney Island to have an afternoon walk with my dog, and we love it very much!! There were many beautiful flowers, and we also spotted some beautiful birds along the walk. Some area was block cause of construction, so guys do take note about that. I would also like to shoutout to this Indian vest guard at east gate on 4 sep, 1.50pm. Before entering, he greeted me and my dog with smiles on his face and complimented how beautiful my dog was, he also told us to enjoy the walk and have a good day. He really made my journey more pleasant and enjoyable :) Before ending the walk at west gate, me and my dog was surprise by the monitor lizard sudden movement haha. I was checking my phone when my dog suddenly panicked the monitor tail moved, and when I turn back to see, the monitor lizard was chilling on the grass haha. Would definitely come back again to explore the places I missed out :)

This is a not so developed island located a short distance from the Punggol Jetty and about a 20 min walk from the Punggol Coast Mall/ SIT University. With the opening of the Punggol Coast MRT, the place has become more accessible via public transport. The attraction of the island is its not so developed and hence less crowded beaches and walking paths. Generally nothing much to see except for the peace and tranquility. A great place to be during normal weekdays if you just wanted some peace and quietness. Disclaimer: Not sure if the above is true during weekends or public holidays though. PS: When I was there, it seems that all the aggressive monkeys have disappeared as I didn't see any monkeys throughout my trip there. Also, I was not bitten by any sand flies which used to plague the beaches when I visited the place when it was first opened years ago. FYI, before the place was linked to the mainland Singapore, you can only visit the island if you canoe or on boat.
There are 2 entrance to enter the Cooney Island park. West entrance connecting the Pungol settlement and the east entrance connecting the Lorong Halus wetland. The distance between the 2 parks is around 2.5 to 3kms. Good trail for a morning walk. The park is open from 7am to 7pm. You cannot do camping in this park. Recently we can see some construction activities. I think they new Chalets and more amenities to be available by mid 2026.
PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE MONKEYS!! THE 3 PERSONS IN THE PHOTOS ARE A FAMILY FROM CHINA , WHOM SPECIFICALLY BROUGHT A SHOPPING BAG OF FRUITS, YAKULT AND HAND OUT TO THE MONKEYS!! The place is not really for people who have mobility issues. You guard against monkeys and monitor lizards which can flank you even at entrances. Not forgetting to mention probability of snakes. It is tranquil, serene and soothing. Only less than 5mins walk from the campus.
