Geylang-edge HDB clinic; busy weekday evenings, surprisingly chill on a Sunday afternoon.
What this clinic is specifically known for is vets with special interests in dermatology, neurology, and exotic pets (hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, terrapins). The team is general practice plus exotic-pet expertise; rotates with the Mount Pleasant emergency rota for after-hours. At the consultation, ask what the findings mean, which options are available and what should prompt a follow-up.
On hours and scope: mon-fri three sessions across the day; sat-sun two sessions. This is a routine practice. For middle-of-the-night emergencies (collapse, bloat, suspected poisoning, anything that needs a CT scanner before sunrise), the call is to one of the 24-hour A&E hospitals on the emergency list, not here. For everything else (vaccination planning, sterilisation, the lump you noticed at the weekend, health changes in an older dog), this is the kind of practice that earns long-term trust.
Who this clinic suits: owners in the Sims Avenue (Changi line) catchment who want a primary vet they can stay with for a decade. Ask whether an appointment is required, request an itemised estimate, and confirm any insurance paperwork or direct-billing arrangements before booking. The address is Blk 848 Sims Avenue, #01-738, Singapore 400848, and the booking line is +65 6546 0166.
The small thing nobody mentions: turn up five minutes early on the first visit, with the puppy in a harness if the harness is fitted yet. The first impression of a clinic is largely formed in the waiting room, not the consult room, and the calmer you are on the way in, the calmer the dog is on the table.

On 11 December 24, at 510pm, I arrived at the veterinary clinic to finalize payment and collect my dog following his dental scaling procedure. The reception staff indicated the veterinarian would be bringing my dog from the ward. After a 15-minute wait, I inquired about my dog's release and was informed that the veterinarian was still retrieving him. This response was repeated after another 15 minutes. Following a 45-minute wait, I again inquired, prompting them to check with the ward, which eventually revealed my payment (which I have paid 45 mins ago) had not been relayed to the ward by the receptionist. My dog was then brought down by the vet within two minutes. I am extremely dissatisfied with the reception staff's unprofessional demeanor and lack of accountability. The reception staff failed to verify payment with the ward, instead repeatedly offering an unsubstantiated explanation to brush me off. Despite only one other client being present and two receptionists on duty, no proactive steps were taken to address the 45-minute waiting. On another note, I must commend Dr. Dani and the veterinary nurse for their exceptional professionalism, friendliness, high level of knowledge, and meticulous explanation of the procedure. They were simply awesome. However, suboptimal management at the reception and front desk will preclude my return to Mount Pleasant Veterinary. I am sure I will find better front desk service at another facility in Singapore.

Bought my dog, Bibi to see the vet here. Some reviews stated bad for this hospital but I find that the staff and vet are friendly and knowledgeable. Vet warned me of my dog's critical condition and did her best to save my dog. I am grateful for that, even though in the end my dog, Bibi still left us at 9pm. Rip my beloved Bibi.

How this clinic compares nearby
The things that decide where you actually drive are whether they can see you now, whether they take walk-ins, and whether the tests can be run on site instead of sent away. Here is Mount Pleasant Veterinary Centre (Changi) against its closest neighbours on exactly that.
- A&E means the clinic is set up for accident and emergency, not just consults.
- In-house lab and imaging means bloods and X-rays happen in the building, so you get an answer the same visit.
- Price band is a relative guide, not a quoted fee. Ask the clinic for the current consultation price before you travel.
