Vets For Life Animal Clinic (Jurong Kechil)

Hillford development shopfront; bright, modern, family-clinic feel.

What this clinic is specifically known for is west-side arm of the Vets For Life group; convenient for Upper Bukit Timah and Hillview. The team is general practice with the same chain backbone as the Tanjong Katong and River Valley branches. At the consultation, ask what the findings mean, which options are available and what should prompt a follow-up.

On hours and scope: daytime clinic, mon-sun. This is a routine practice. For middle-of-the-night emergencies (collapse, bloat, suspected poisoning, anything that needs a CT scanner before sunrise), the call is to one of the 24-hour A&E hospitals on the emergency list, not here. For everything else (vaccination planning, sterilisation, the lump you noticed at the weekend, health changes in an older dog), this is the kind of practice that earns long-term trust.

Who this clinic suits: owners in the Upper Bukit Timah catchment who want a primary vet they can stay with for a decade. Ask whether an appointment is required, request an itemised estimate, and confirm any insurance paperwork or direct-billing arrangements before booking. The address is 182 Jalan Jurong Kechil, #01-60/61, The Hillford, Singapore 596152, and the booking line is +65 6970 7070.

The small thing nobody mentions: turn up five minutes early on the first visit, with the puppy in a harness if the harness is fitted yet. The first impression of a clinic is largely formed in the waiting room, not the consult room, and the calmer you are on the way in, the calmer the dog is on the table.
