There is a specific kind of phone call no dog owner wants to make at 2am, and Advanced VetCare Veterinary Centre (Bedok) is one of the addresses you want in your contacts before that call ever happens. The clinic sits in Bedok, in the east region, and the front-line answer to most emergency questions is the same: pick up the phone, describe what is happening, and start driving. The number is +65 6636 1788, and 24 hours, every day; the bedok site is the emergency hub.

What sets the hospital apart is complex orthopaedic and oncological surgery alongside a 24-hour ICU; one of the very few clinics offering total hip replacement and spinal surgery. The team here is founded by Dr Nicholas Woo, with a strong focus on small animal surgery and oncology. The atmosphere on the inside is a working hospital with both daytime referral clinic and a hard-running ICU through the night, which is exactly what an owner in the middle of a difficult night wants. Nothing showy. Clear triage. The dog is taken in, observed, and worked up while someone talks you through what is happening and what comes next.

On the routine side, this is also a working hospital during daylight hours. Vaccinations, dental work, surgical referrals, and complex medical workups all happen here as well, and many east-side and central owners use it as their primary clinic for exactly that reason: the safety net is built into the daytime care, not bolted on afterwards. If your dog has a chronic condition that needs specialist input, the day-clinic team and the emergency team share the same notes and the same imaging.

What to bring if you are heading down: your dog's vaccination record if you can lay hands on it quickly, a list of any current medications, and whoever else in the household needs to know what is happening. What to expect: the front desk will ask for the basic history first, then a vet will see the dog. Payment is handled at the end of the visit, and most major pet insurers are accepted directly or via claim form. The address is 18 Jalan Pari Burong, Singapore 488684.

Who this hospital is for: the owner who wants to know, before they need it, where they would go in a real emergency. Save the number now. Pin the address to your phone's lock screen. The point of writing this list is so that on the night the call has to be made, the call is to someone you already trust.

  1. Brought my girl at 1.35am here 2 days ago, as there was an emergency of her rubbing her face on the floor and her ear got nicked by the metal drainage. Called 3 other emergency vet before this. VES@Whitley didn't pick up immediately, then asked me to take a picture and send to WhatsApp, saying this isn't emergency and may need to wait longer. Westside Vet told me that the waiting time could be 2-3 hours or more as this isn't as emergency as others may have. Companion Vet, I would've gone until I asked who's the doctor in charge, the same doctor who doesn't give a damn about my late dog, who doesn't provide any of the information about my late dog, her name is Aparna, her picture isn't in the website too. Hence, I give my damn luck on this, called them and the nurse that picked up was a male, seems like a Filipino, soft spoken, and actually freaking tells me to get down so that it can be treated asap. Reached there, registered, the doctor inside was Dr. Teh Weiyin (if I'm not wrong) , she was handling another patient, took about 20mins and it's fine, totally fine, because there is an actually patient in there. She wasn't done with the patient, but need to bring the dog inside for further checks by other late night nurse, came out and called us in, without breaks, mind you. Checking on my girl ear, showing us with diagrams on the board, what would be done and etc. Do note that it's for my pup ears, but before further operations, she checked my pup belly, sides, backs, you can't tell me that this doctor has no care for animals. After she was done with the procedure, she told us about the cream , how to put it on, the medicine, what to do to "prevent" infections, etc. On the side note, saw her tattoos on her wrist area, which then I freaking realizes why I had trusts in her, before we even start anything. It was a "Stag" tattoo. I trust anyone who tattoo a "Stag" on them. This is just my own opinion. Overall, this is the best one I have encountered so far.

I took my cat to vet because he had a fever and developed an eye ulcer. Dr. Ka Yan was extremely kind, professional, and knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly, handled my cat gently, and made sure he was comfortable during the visit. The treatment was thorough, and I felt confident my cat was in very good hands. I’m really grateful for the care and would highly recommend

We are very grateful to the clinic and Doctor Spencer for taking such good care of my dog during her surgery and recovery. From the procedure itself to post-op care, everything was handled professionally and with genuine compassion. She has been recovering very well, which gave me a lot of reassurance as an owner. What really stood out was the follow-up. Doctor Spencer was extremely responsive, responsible, and patient in addressing my concerns, even after the surgery. It truly made a stressful experience much easier to get through. Thank you for the dedication and care. Highly recommended.

A blank cell reads "Not confirmed". That means the clinic may offer it, but we still need a reliable source before we say so here.
