Empress Road condo cluster; tidy, evidence-based, slightly more clinical-feeling than the average HDB practice.

What this clinic is specifically known for is the Empress Road arm of the Pets Avenue group; routine care backed by a sister urgent care clinic on River Valley Road. The team is part of the 18-vet Pets Avenue group; daytime general practice here, after-hours handed off to River Valley. At the consultation, ask what the findings mean, which options are available and what should prompt a follow-up.

On hours and scope: daily clinic hours; urgent cases routed to river valley after-hours. This is a routine practice. For middle-of-the-night emergencies (collapse, bloat, suspected poisoning, anything that needs a CT scanner before sunrise), the call is to one of the 24-hour A&E hospitals on the emergency list, not here. For everything else (vaccination planning, sterilisation, the lump you noticed at the weekend, health changes in an older dog), this is the kind of practice that earns long-term trust.

Who this clinic suits: owners in the Farrer Road catchment who want a primary vet they can stay with for a decade. Ask whether an appointment is required, request an itemised estimate, and confirm any insurance paperwork or direct-billing arrangements before booking. The address is 8 Empress Road, #01-11, Singapore 260008, and the booking line is +65 6463 0333.

The small thing nobody mentions: turn up five minutes early on the first visit, with the puppy in a harness if the harness is fitted yet. The first impression of a clinic is largely formed in the waiting room, not the consult room, and the calmer you are on the way in, the calmer the dog is on the table.

I’ve been bringing my dogs, Yoshi and Poppy, to Pets Avenue (Farrer Road) for some time now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they receive. Dr Zen is fantastic - always explains things clearly, never pushy, transparent about costs, and truly cares about the animals. Treatments have always been effective, and I really appreciate the follow-ups to check on how my dogs are doing. The staff are equally wonderful - consistently friendly, responsive, and super helpful. It’s such a comfort knowing Yoshi and Poppy are in such good hands every visit. Highly recommend! 🐶💛

Extremely satisfied with Kylie for always assisting me with my pet’s needs. I’ve a Samoyed, Labrador and 4 cats so def lots of vet visits from time to time. My texts for assistance always gets replied quick and there were times she wasn’t working but still managed to get me the help I needed by arranging for us to see a vet. Pets Avenue def hired a gem there

Pets Avenue is the best place for your pets to be looked after at with any health-related issues. All the vets are highly skilled & the vet nurses are the best behind the scenes because they do look after all the animals to the best of their ability.

How this clinic compares nearby

The things that decide where you actually drive are whether they can see you now, whether they take walk-ins, and whether the tests can be run on site instead of sent away. Here is Pets Avenue Veterinary Clinic (Farrer Road) against its closest neighbours on exactly that.

  • A&E means the clinic is set up for accident and emergency, not just consults.
  • In-house lab and imaging means bloods and X-rays happen in the building, so you get an answer the same visit.
  • Price band is a relative guide, not a quoted fee. Ask the clinic for the current consultation price before you travel.
