Lengkok Bahru void deck unit; HDB locals walking in with rescues from Causes for Animals down the road.
What this clinic is specifically known for is long-running community vet on the Bukit Merah side; the kind of practice rescuers rely on. The team is small team experienced with rescue cases, post-op recovery, and senior dogs. At the consultation, ask what the findings mean, which options are available and what should prompt a follow-up.
On hours and scope: Mon Closed; Tue 10am - 12pm, 2:30 - 6pm; Wed-Thu Closed; Fri-Sat 10am - 12pm, 2:30 - 6pm; Sun Closed. This is a routine practice. For middle-of-the-night emergencies (collapse, bloat, suspected poisoning, anything that needs a CT scanner before sunrise), the call is to one of the 24-hour A&E hospitals on the emergency list, not here. For everything else (vaccination planning, sterilisation, the lump you noticed at the weekend, health changes in an older dog), this is the kind of practice that earns long-term trust.
Who this clinic suits: Bukit Merah and Redhill owners; rescue-adjacent clientele. Ask whether an appointment is required, request an itemised estimate, and confirm any insurance paperwork or direct-billing arrangements before booking. The address is 57 Lengkok Bahru, #01-475, Singapore 151057.
The small thing nobody mentions: evenings get busy with post-work HDB owners; the 11am-1pm window is usually the quiet one.

I’ll be candid here. The vets themselves are highly professional. Every interaction I had with the veterinarians was positive, they were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. From a clinical standpoint, everything with the vet went well, and I appreciate their professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience was severely undermined by the receptionist / WhatsApp admin team, to the point where I would not return. Over the course of one sterilisation, three serious issues occurred: 1. Incorrect medical advice was given via WhatsApp. I was advised by the receptionist team to proceed with sterilisation during my dog’s season. At my first in-person visit, the vet clearly stated this was not recommended and that I should not have been advised that way. The WhatsApp number is presented as the clinic’s contact, so it is reasonable to assume advice given is vetted or professional, which it was not. 2. Post-surgery concerns were mishandled. After the procedure, I sent photos and videos to the same WhatsApp number to check on healing progress, again assuming these would be consulted with a vet. I was told everything was fine as long as my dog was eating and drinking. At my two-week review, the vet identified swelling and possible infection and asked why I hadn’t come in earlier. I had reached out earlier, just through the same WhatsApp channel that reassured me everything was okay. 3. Appointment was made for the wrong outlet. Today, I arrived at the Lengkok Bahru outlet for an appointment that was booked through the same WhatsApp number that had contacted me previously for this location. Only upon arrival was I told my appointment was actually at the Jurong outlet. To be fair, the vet on duty still took the time to review my dog’s case, which I truly appreciate. That level of professionalism is commendable. However, the front-desk and WhatsApp coordination is unreliable and cannot be trusted, even for basic tasks like appointments, let alone medical guidance. This creates unnecessary stress for pet owners and poses real risks. While the vets are excellent, the administrative side is frankly unacceptable.

Reasonably priced and Dr Carol is a great vet. One of the best vet IMO. The unfortunate part is that the management is not good. Always don't pick up the phone and replies vry slow. There was once they also rescheduled my dog's appointment without informing me. What a pity. Could really do better with Dr Carol's knowledge & skills :(

Had a bad experience with the reception at this clinic. What's the point of me texting via WhatsApp regarding an urgent issue and having to wait hours for a reply? Even when I visited the clinic in person in a previous episode, I was just simply turned away and asked to wait for an appointment to be scheduled via WhatsApp.

How this clinic compares nearby
The things that decide where you actually drive are whether they can see you now, whether they take walk-ins, and whether the tests can be run on site instead of sent away. Here is Vets for Pets Lengkok Bahru against its closest neighbours on exactly that.
- A&E means the clinic is set up for accident and emergency, not just consults.
- In-house lab and imaging means bloods and X-rays happen in the building, so you get an answer the same visit.
- Price band is a relative guide, not a quoted fee. Ask the clinic for the current consultation price before you travel.
